Irene Morgan joins Mansfield Lions Club
At the Mansfield Lion’s Picnic earlier this month, the club installed new members, including Irene Morgan, Executive Director of Partners In Progress.
“My decision to join the Mansfield Lions Club was driven by the opportunity to combine my interest in contributing to a philanthropic mission with my background and strength as a human service leader for the past 20+ years,” says Morgan. “I have witnessed firsthand the good works that our local Lions Club has done in the community over the years and was so honored to be asked to join.”
Lions clubs are a group of men and women who identify needs within the community and work together to fulfill those needs.

Partners In Progress celebrates Flag Day!
On Wednesday, June 14th, Partners In Progress held a Flag Day celebration. The event was organized by PIP’s Joseph Rogers and was attended by approximately 100 people, including MU President Fran Hendricks, Senator Joe Scarnati’s Field Representative Deb Rudy, and Dawn Hull from the Mansfield Chamber of Commerce.
The flag ceremony was conducted by the Austin Cox American Legion Post 478 and Mansfield VFW Post 6757 with assistance from Mansfield Boy Scout Troop 106.
The event also featured two “living history” military vehicles from the Military Vehicle Preservation Association of the Finger Lakes – a 1951 ‘M135’ and a 1952 ‘M38.’
Staff from Partners In Progress served 200 hot dogs and refreshments to everyone in attendance and gave away free hand-held American Flags.
